Sentient MFM's innovative project for the Plaza Hotel in NYC will be completed with 2 mixing sessions, first of which to take place February 11-22. The music produced for the Plaza features custom spatial image embedded in the architecture as well as dynamic multi-mix experience spread throughout the different spaces, powered by an advanced audio system from Meyer Sound. The massive amount of music, 3.5 hours in total, was generated using Sentient MFM's original Layers & Loops system of composition.

Ariel Blumenthal receives an all-paid fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. The 4-week spot was anonymously donated and intended for an Israeli artist. Blumenthal was chosen between applicants from the fields of visual arts, creative writing and compositions.

The launch of the redesigned NYC landmark this summer will mark it as the
city's top luxury private residences and pied-a-terre, and reposition the
Plaza as one of the most desirable addresses on the globe. Part of architect
Gal Nauer's original vision for the design and image of the Plaza is concept
music representing its new identity while reflecting on the history of the
building.
The initial stage of this innovative undertaking includes six hours of
bigband and electronic music implementing SentientMFM's layers and loops
system developed for the unique challenges presented by this project.
